Tigerwood. Brazilian Cherry. Santos Mahogany. Sapele. A new world of hardwoods with a unique and exotic appeal.
Brazilian Cherry can vary in color from yellowish to reddish and over time may develop occasional white mineral deposits on certain boards. Because of its physical properties, Brazilian Cherry must not be installed on subfloors with radiant heating systems.
Wood is a natural product that changes color when exposed to light. All species of wood change color after installation, but some of them — notably Tigerwood, Brazilian Cherry, Santos Mahogany, and Sapele — change more than most. Floor surfaces will become much darker and more uniform a few months after their installation. Some wood species — notably Brazilian Cherry and Sapele — can vary in color over time during wood aging.
